Locksmith Services
The Utah Locksmith provides mobile locksmith services for homes, vehicles and businesses from our Salt Lake City base. We operate 24/7. Choose the service that fits your issue, then share your location and relevant lock or vehicle details so we can confirm availability and compatibility.
Lockouts and urgent help
Choose entry help when you are locked out. If the key is missing rather than inside the vehicle, also see car key replacement.

Tell us what is locked, where you are, and whether anyone is in immediate danger. We will discuss the appropriate lock or key service and current availability.

If your keys are inside a locked vehicle, have its make, model, year and location ready. The method depends on the vehicle and lock system.

Choose the service that matches the problem: vehicle access, a missing or spare key, programming, or an ignition lock issue. Make, model, year and key type determine the available options.
Automotive locksmith
We handle vehicle lock and key needs, including access and key work. Tell us the make, model, year and issue so compatibility can be checked.
Explore automotive locksmith →Car key replacement
Lost a key or need a spare? The replacement depends on the vehicle, key type and programming requirements. Share the make, model and year before arranging service.
Explore car key replacement →Car key programming
Programming needs vary by vehicle and key system. We can discuss the equipment, key type and vehicle details needed for your situation. Tell us whether a working key is available and whether you already have the replacement key; compatibility must be checked first.
Explore car key programming →Ignition repair
A key that will not turn or an ignition that is damaged may have several causes. Describe the symptom and vehicle details before choosing a repair approach. An electrical or engine fault is different from an ignition lock problem; vehicle-specific scope must be confirmed.
Explore ignition repair →Home locks and door hardware
Choose rekeying to change key access on suitable hardware, repair for an operating problem, or replacement and installation when different hardware is needed.
Residential locksmith
We discuss home lock installation, repair, changes and rekeying. The right choice depends on the hardware condition and who needs access.
Explore residential locksmith →Lock rekeying
Rekeying changes which key operates a compatible lock without replacing the whole lock. We can check whether your existing hardware is suitable.
Explore lock rekeying →Lock repair
A sticking or damaged lock may be repairable. Describe the door, hardware and symptom so we can discuss repair or replacement.
Explore lock repair →Lock changes
When hardware needs replacement, the door and existing lock determine the options. We can discuss the type of lock you need and installation details.
Explore lock changes →Lock installation
New lock installation depends on the door, preparation and chosen hardware. Share a description of the opening and the lock you have in mind.
Explore lock installation →Keypad lock installation
Keypad locks need suitable doors and hardware. We can discuss compatibility, power and access needs before installation. Tell us the model you are considering and whether it is standalone or connected; installation and setup scope must be confirmed.

Commercial locksmith
Business doors may need repair, rekeying or new hardware. Tell us about the property, existing locks and access requirements. Ask about the specific hardware you need rather than assuming every access-control or master-key system is supported.
Explore commercial locksmith →How to request the right service
- Describe the problem and location. Share your city or ZIP code and what is locked, missing, damaged or not working. For a vehicle, include make, model, year and whether a working key is available. For a door, describe the lock or hardware involved.
- Confirm the scope and authorization. Be ready to confirm you are authorized to request access or changes. We check the requested work, hardware or vehicle compatibility and availability at your address.
- Discuss the quote before arranging work. Confirm what the service includes and ask about parts, labor, any service-call or travel charge and approval of additional work.
For urgent help, call. You can also use our contact form or the homepage request form. Sending a request does not book a visit or confirm an arrival time. See our Privacy Notice before submitting personal details.
What affects the service and quote?
The work needed, hardware condition, vehicle and key system, number of locks or keys, required parts, location and timing can affect the scope and cost. A lockout, a new key, programming and a hardware replacement are different jobs. Share the actual problem rather than guessing which repair is required; we can discuss the suitable options. We do not publish a fixed price or promise an arrival time for every job.
Questions before choosing a service
Should I choose rekeying, repair or a lock change?
Rekeying changes which key operates suitable existing hardware. Repair addresses an operating problem where the hardware can be repaired. A lock change replaces hardware. Tell us the condition of the lock and whether your goal is different key access or different hardware so we can discuss the right option.
Can you replace or program a key for every vehicle?
Support depends on the make, model, year and key system. Tell us whether all keys are lost, you have a working spare, or you already have a replacement key. We confirm compatibility before arranging work; a general automotive service listing does not mean every vehicle or supplied key is supported.
Does 24/7 mean a guaranteed arrival time?
No. We operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but current availability, the job and your location must be confirmed when you contact us. A form request is not a dispatch or booking confirmation.
Will you come to my address?
We operate as a mobile locksmith business based in Salt Lake City. Browse the service-area directory, then call with your city or ZIP code and the work needed to confirm availability for your specific address.
